Get Your Garage Clean Out Done this Spring

Remove the Junk
There’s probably a lot of “stuff” in your garage. From lawn care tools, holiday supplies, and other miscellaneous items from when you moved in, the list goes on and on. Update

- Replace old drain caps or floor cover plates – If they’re at all rusted or show some wear and tear, purchase new ones. At the least, do some general cleaning.
- Update garage door seals – Ensure they’re properly functioning and fit your desired look. Replace them if they don’t check these boxes.
- Remove floor fixtures – If it’s not built into the wall or cemented to the ground, get it out. This includes cabinets, sinks or even appliances.
Adding Storage
Before you start putting things back into the garage, think about how much storage space you could add by simply adding cabinets and shelving. Cabinets and shelving can help when you’re in a rush looking for something. Arrange the space so that the storage is organized and logical. Put tools and heavier lawn care items in one area, holiday boxes in another, and so on.
Once you’ve completed these tasks, it’s time to move all of your stuff back into the garage in proper order. Try not to stack items on top of each other, creating clutter. Once you’re done you can enjoy the satisfaction of having space for you car again!
